Portfolio Review

I got a lot of good feedback and knowledge to fix a few things for my portfolio. Now on to other finals and soon a break.

One more day til portfolio review. Almost time to relax!!

My goal is to have JoAnns finished tonight!! I am almost done!!

Last Class!!

OMG!!! I am almost done and he LIKED the BIC ad!! I am so stoked!!

Some advertising feels like you've worked on it for hours and it doesn't really look any different. It is so frustrating. I hope these project revisions go quicker.

Working on projects so I can get feedback on them tomorrow. I feel like I have things under control, which is keeping me calm and collect. Two more days of classes, then my birthday this weekend and then finals week. I CAN DO THS!!!

Crunch Time

BIC and Hawaii almost finished, JoAnns 3/4 finished and POE who knows right now. My deadline is Dec 10 at midnight. Buckling down so much to do in all classes so little time. One week til relaxation commences.

Meeting this morning to work on BIC!! I hope it turns out the way we want it too.

Overwhelmed!!! So many revisions on top of all the other professors last minute work they have decided to assign. AHHHHHHH! Oh well I'll try my best and I refuse to stress out!

BIC doodles

Looking for inspirations for my BIC doodles. Just have to figure out what things to doodle and how to make it cohesive. I have some ideas to share with my partner tomorrow. I hope this is going to be a rocking campaign.

We have got two solid ideas to work with THINK BIC and how long the pen last campaign. I bought us some BIC Crystal pens tonight and you get 12 for $1.99 which is a good deal.

So much to do, so little time, so little energy. Why do professors give students so much to do at the end of the semester? It is just crazy. I am ready to be relieved of the stress of school, that I have had all semester.

Happy Thanksgiving! Little bit of homework then a lot of food and family.

Revisions are planned for this week as well as working on the BIC campaign. Hoping to get a lot accomplished before next week.

We have some good directions to go in for BIC. Trying to be productive and hoping to stay somewhat busy.

I am in for a long 4.5 weeks! Grieving takes time, but it isn't going to help with all the stress from school. I am struggling at the moment to find some creativity. It is strange how things can happen so fast and it drag you down to the point that you just want it over. :( Looking for some strength.

BIC here we come to make some awesome ads!

New brand has been chosen!! Ideas are in my head for it. It has been a stressful weekend. I hope my dog starts to eat again, it makes me so sad to see her like this, if she doesn't then I have to take her back to the vet before class tomorrow. Which in turn makes me have a hard time concentrating, because I am so worried about her.

Working with my partner on the Hawaii video. Not sure what we are doing so well see. Hope it turns out good!

Putting finishing touches on imagery so we can put it all together in imovie. Almost done with this project. Have already laid out what I need to fix on my first project. I am trying to have a schedule so I have time to devote to everything that needs to be done for all my classes. I am ready for the end of the semester.

The Beatles are helping me work through my advertising project!! Sometimes music is the only way to make through some of these projects. Only 8 more classes left this semester per class. I am ready!!! Can't wait til December 16th!!!!

It feels good to actually have a direction to follow for Hawaii, instead of stabbing in the dark and feeling like I don't know what I am doing.

Hawaii

Hawaii is beautiful and has wonderful activities and sites to see. I wish I could have gone to get a better understanding of some of the research. I am so frustrated with this. Touristy or not. It is for tourists!! No one wants to take an education filled vacation. I want to go learn the hula, see the volcanoes and lay out on the beach. Man that would be nice right now. Stress levels are at an ultimate high!!

HAWAII

WOW! There are so many activities on all 8 islands. It makes me want to plan a warm vacation. There is so much to do and not just for honeymooners, but for families too. Ohana: means family and family means no one gets left behind. All this research makes me want to watch Lilo and Stitch and Elvis Blue Hawaii.

Really wouldn't of minded a trip here to do the research. Very interesting place, mostly culture based. So each Island is different even down to their hula's. Food and beer is a very special here.

It is beautiful, why would you not want to go to Hawaii.

Modern Poe is on its way. Scott and I have done some awesome brainstorming on how to do this. Research and design underway. I am so happy to finally have some of my creativity showing itself.

I found this while brainstorming T-shirt concepts and thought it was funny. Who would have thought there was an Edgar Allan Poe puppet. STRANGE!

Edgar Allan Poe

It has proven to be more difficult then expected to get ideas out. I did found out that all events that are held at the POE MUSEUM are in the garden, with all events you get access to walk around the museum as well. Hitting some walls on this push to greatness. The Ad Annuals have not helped me much either. Comps done, which is somewhat of a relief.

E.A.P

Has figured out that Edgar Allen Poe in the middle of the night is not such a good idea. This project needs to be done during daylight hours. Even doing research on him makes me feel watched and creepy. And to think my aunt used to read me his poems and stories when I was around 12. I guess the older you get, the more freaked out you can get too.

Edgar Allan Poe Museum

I visited the Edgar Allen Poe Museum today. It was very creepy. I felt like I was being watched the whole time and there was no one around. They do not allow photography in the exhibits but I was able to take some photographs out in the court yard, which is where they hold weddings. They do not have much to take away as far as advertising pamphlets of any kind, so most of there information is on the website.

One thing that I did conclude today after what I had learned is that Edgar Allen Poe is the like the Salvador Dali of literature. They have many similarities.

Is hating JoAnn's right now! AHHHH! But that is to be expected after getting so close to the brand. Sleep seems to be far away. Maybe I'll make it there by 3 am.

On the way to success! Have gotten all my pictures fixed and ready, now time to put some other elements together and get to working out the headlines. Oh how I am tortured by my headline writing. One project almost completed.

Has drawn out more ways to go about my newspaper ad, after viewing the American Newspaper Ads, Athena's Awards. Now off for the execution. At least three ads due tomorrow. Lets get to work!!
